Free Google SERP Preview Tool

See exactly how your page looks in Google search results, with pixel-accurate truncation warnings. Then let AI write title and meta description variants that fit and earn the click.

How it works

From draft snippet to a click-worthy result in three steps.

1

Type your title and description

The Google preview updates live, with pixel and character meters that warn you before Google cuts you off.

2

Check desktop and mobile

Flip the preview between devices and paste your URL to see the real breadcrumb line.

3

Let AI write the variants

Tell it what the page is about and get three snippet angles, each checked against the pixel limits. No account needed.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SERP preview tool free?

Yes. The live preview is free and unlimited. The AI snippet writer is free too: up to 10 generations a day with no account, and up to 30 a day when you sign in with Google.

How long can a title tag and meta description be?

Google truncates by pixels, not characters: roughly 580 px for titles (about 60 characters) and about two lines for descriptions (about 160 characters) on desktop. This tool measures your actual text in pixels, which is more accurate than counting characters.

Is the preview exactly what Google shows?

It is a close approximation. Google adjusts layouts, rewrites snippets, and shifts limits over time, so treat the preview and warnings as a reliable guide rather than a guarantee.

Does Google always use my meta description?

No. Google rewrites descriptions for many queries. A well-written description still matters: it is used often enough to move click-through rates, and it is the fallback Google draws from.

Can AI write my title and meta description?

Yes. Describe the page and optionally a target keyword, and the tool writes three variants with different angles, each badged for whether it fits Google's pixel limits.
