Retrieval Readiness Checker for Help Centers
Check whether help-center passages stand on their own. Review answer placement, section context, and instructions that rely on surrounding text.
Paste one public help article URL. Choose a task users frequently need to complete, such as changing a setting or resolving an error.
How to use the results
- Name the product or feature in the relevant section so a passage still makes sense outside the article.
- Put the direct answer near the beginning, followed by prerequisites and steps. Keep exceptions close to the instruction they qualify.
- Replace vague references such as “do the same thing here” with the action and destination. Check the revised instructions with a reader.
Example review
A password-reset section starts with “Follow the steps above.” Rewrite it to identify the account settings page and reset action so the section can be understood independently.
